Description:
The question of beauty never stops being asked this side of heaven. But have you ever considered that the first step to understanding beauty is recognizing that God is an artist? 🎨✨ In this 2-part series, I’m tackling a topic pastors won’t preach on. I take you on a deep dive into beauty from God’s perspective—beyond just human physicality.
God designed beauty with purpose—from creation, art, music, and architecture to human appearance. But in our fallen world, beauty is often distorted, envied, or misused. When we STOP comparing ourselves and START seeing through God’s eyes, everything changes.
🔥 Key Takeaway: Beauty isn’t random—it’s intentional and for God’s glory. The world pushes superficiality and insecurity, but God’s design is purposeful, dignified, and full of order.
In this episode, we expose society’s lies about beauty, explore Biblical examples of “beautiful” people, and uncover why cleanliness, order, and humility all reflect God’s perfect artistry.

Summary
The question that will never stop being asked this side of heaven! The first step in understanding human beauty is understanding that God is an artist. Speak to an artist if you can. They have a tendency to look at the world differently. In this 2 part series, I attempt to show you beauty from God’s eyes, looking at God’s design. Beauty exists outside of just human physicality. When we start looking at all things, from a “bird’s eye view,” we can see why some things are made the way that they are. I guarantee you’ve never heard beauty presented this way.
1. Everything God created is for His beauty and glory
First, there is dignity in all humans, simply by being human. We are created in His image. The constant comparison to others is simply from our fallen nature. God tells us many truths about ourselves that we fail to internalize the second we look at another person and ask, “Why do they have and I have not?
God is perfect and infallible, a Master Designer and Weaver. He has an eternal plan that every person is a part of to fulfill a purpose. The only person we should be looking at is His Son Jesus, who humbly left His Father’s side to experience the life of His beloved creation, people.
2. The attack on beauty in all its forms
God is a designer. There is beauty in creation, art, architecture, music and the works of our hands. We take a look at beauty beyond just human appearances and the subtle and not-so subtle attack on God’s design.
Something we don’t regularly think of as beautiful is cleanliness. When things are dirty though, we are immediately repulsed. God is holy and we see His standards for beauty extend into cleanliness and how we present ourselves and the things we have to the world.
3. Purposeful Beauty
The first of its kind. I run through all of the people that are labeled beautiful in the Old Testament and explain the purpose behind their appearances. God is not simplistic, nor is He handing out “gifts” for individuals’ egos.
Many of the attractive people in the Old Testament had their beauty to serve a greater purpose. Beauty was then just a tool that God used. This has not changed today. Not everyone uses God’s gifts for His glory. But many of them will gain the world and lose their soul (Matthew 16:26).
4. Misguided perceptions on beauty
When we conflate the world’s view with a Biblical worldview, we will always be left unsatisfied. In this fallen world, every single person can tell you the pros and cons of their lives. If we value what the world values, then yes, some gifts from God will appear unfair. When we put our eyes on God’s bigger purpose, we are dignified vessels, made in the image of God to work out His will. I go through many of the misconceptions of what it is to be an attractive person on this Earth. Especially as a believer in Christ Jesus.
Give it a try 💪🏽🤍
